a beautiful day in this neighbourhood

(excuse the lack of makeup and attention at all to what I look like)

Jason was home sick today. The flu has been hitting our family hard. Cohen was sick on and off all last week and I am just thankful for ginger ale and crackers.

It was such a beautiful day so we decided it would be good for our ailing bodies to head outdoors. We spread out a blanket and enjoyed the weather. Cohen was very content and loved the wind across his face.

My attempt at a family portrait.

my boys *heart*

caught mid sneeze

current project..embroidered tote for my baby sister

eating leaves..but what else can you expect from an 8 month old

Cohen was very upset that the ginger ale was gone and that this bottle does not have a nipple!

How did you sepnd your day?

Dear Baby Cohen

Dear Baby Cohen,

You are 8 1/2 months old today. We have given you countless baths. Some in the sink until you got too big. Now you bath in the tub like a big boy. We have used the same shampoo since you were born. It never really lathered that well, but it was a gift so I figured we would just use it until its gone. Last night, Daddy was gone so I decided I would give you a bath to pass the time. I sat down beside the tub and reached for the shampoo. For the first time, I read the bottle. The label says, "Baby Bedtime Bubble Bath". I found the actual shampoo in the cupboard. Sorry Baby Cohen for your lack of clean hair. The next 8 1/2 months will be different.
love,
momma

I've been really MIA lately..sorry. My grandparents have been visiting for the past few weeks and so I've been spending alot of time with them. We go out for lunch almost every day..to Tim Horton's. They spoil me by watching Cohen when I go to the gym. I don't mind taking him but its nice to have that time to myself.

Last weekend we went to Regina to visit one of our friends who is doing his RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) training. He graduates April 6 and then him and his family are moving 9 hours away:( So we spend a couples only weekend shopping, swimming and eating. We haven't been kid free as a group for almost 4 years.

I have to tell you that I am so excited for Rachel and Elsie's Art Journal class. I am excited to learn how to journal effectively. I'm not much of a scrapbooker but I think this will be a lot of fun.

A day of babysitting, exercising, cleaning, laundry awaits...

Ode to Spring and Dresses

I don't know if its the warming Spring air or the fact that I'm so close to losing my post baby flub, but lately I've had an obession with cute spring dresses. I love how a cute and simple dress can make you feel so beautiful.

I think Forever 21 and I need to have a date...

Canadian Pride:)

WE WON GOLD!!!!

source: google

Yesterday morning, in anticipation for the big game, I painted my nails red, white, and gold. I knew there was a good chance that they would win. But man, that would have sucked if they had lost! It was a super tight game, but how great for us Canadians to win on home soil!
Have a great Monday:)
